WFHESL serves home educating families in the Northwest corner of Florida, including Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. We feature monthly Member Meetings in the Pensacola area, as well as smaller Cell Group Meetings and activities throughout the two counties. WFHESL members help organize a wide variety of activities and events that are announced to members in the monthly newlsetter.
WFHESL is a Christ-centered, family oriented, volunteer organization established by homeschooling fathers and mothers desiring to help, support, and encourage homeschoolers in Northwest Florida, according to Biblical principles, through the following means:
-Distributing information regarding Florida homeschool law, how to begin homeschooling, and the acquisition of homeschool resources
-Maintaining a positive relationship with the Public School system and promoting a strong, unified image of homeschooling to the community at large
-Organizing newsletters, a web site, monthly league meetings and small cell group meetings
-Sponsoring league-wide and cell group educational field trips, extracurricular field trips, extracurricular activities, and events
-Sponsoring standardized testing and evaluations by certified teachers
