The League-Wide Art Show/Art Workshop will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008, at Charity Chapel, 5820 Montgomery Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32526 (detailed directions to Charity Chapel can found at www.charitychapel.com).

Kids, now is the time to be working on your entry for the art show! Parents, this is an excellent opportunity for your children to practice what they are learning in art, to get experience preparing a piece for display, and to be able to show off their masterpiece. It is also fun to see what others are working on.

Art Workshop with Miller Pads and Paper
("Art: The Glue That Makes It Stick!")

At 7:00 PM, Randy and Renee Miller of Miller Pads and Paper (www.millerpadsandpaper.com) will present a one-hour workshop entitled "Art: The Glue That Makes It Stick!" They will present ways to make learning fun by combining art with core subjects. You will leave excited and with ideas galore to incorporate into your curriculum. The Millers are a homeschooling family with over 20 years experience teaching their four grown children.

Each family attending the workshop will receive a workshop handout and a free thank-you gift from the Millers. They will also set up their convention display in the lobby of the the main auditorium with lots of art supplies and other "making learning fun" items available for purchase after the workshop and Art Show awards ceremony.

After judging is complete, you may browse the art entries in the gold building or do some shopping at the Miller Pads and Paper display in the lobby of the main auditorium from 6:00-7:00PM.
