  WFHESL Library Review
by: Julie B., League Librarian

This review is on one of my all time favorite books in the library. Having grown up and lived my whole life in the exact same spot, I've naturally managed to accumulate a lot of "things" over the years. Many of which were left behind with the passing of generations before me who lived on this same land. After a while the items that I was keeping, either because "one day I may need that" or because of sentimental attachment, had grown to such a proportion that every time I "cleaned" it really felt more like I spent the majority of time shuffling things from one location to another. The shed was bulging; the house was bulging. Finally, I discovered this little book. It's not a big bulky read. The text is actually something you can sit down with and manage to get through, and above all, this is not a book on how to organize your home! This book helps you clearly see and understand why you are keeping the things you have, and then goes a step further, not by giving the author's opinion about what you should or shouldn't keep, but by helping you to personally decide how you honestly feel about your things and whether you will keep them. My life is more organized and my time better spent since I read this book. I was simply amazed at the number of things I had that I really didn't even want, but had held to anyway. This is a book that will free you to take an honest look at why you have the things you do and simply decide, with adult eyes, how you will choose to manage your belongings. I recommend it highly.
